The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) "World Robotics 2025" report reveals that global industrial robot installations reached 542,000 units in 2024, marking the fourth consecutive year exceeding 500,000 units and the second-highest level in history. Asia emerged as the primary driver, accounting for 74% of new deployments, with China leading at 295,000 installations (54% of global total), where domestic manufacturers surpassed foreign suppliers for the first time.

The global operational stock of industrial robots grew 9% to 4.664 million units. While Europe and America saw declines of 8% and 10% respectively, Germany and the United States maintained regional leadership. Despite geopolitical challenges, IFR forecasts 6% growth in 2025 to 575,000 installations, projecting exceed 700,000 units by 2028 as digitalization and automation continue driving demand across industries
