ECIA's industry survey indicates sustained optimism in electronic component sales sentiment for Q3 2025, extending into Q4. Although the overall index dropped from 121.6 in July to 113.2 in August, respondents anticipate a strong rebound to 130.2 in September.

By product category, passive and electromechanical components performed strongest with August indexes of 116.1 and 115.0 respectively, while semiconductors scored 108.3. Year-over-year comparison shows stronger sentiment, with product indexes ranging from 141.1 to 151 between June and August.

Approximately 60% of respondents maintain positive expectations for Q3 and Q4 sales sentiment, with only 6-7% anticipating declines. Manufacturer representatives show the strongest confidence across component categories, while distributors also demonstrated significant improvement in August. Among end markets, industrial and avionics/military/space sectors lead, with consumer electronics being the only segment below the 100 threshold.

Delivery cycles remain generally stable, with the proportion of respondents reporting extended cycles slightly decreasing from 23% in July to 20% in August, while approximately 80% consider market conditions stable.
